Bright Night

I really wanted to push my limits on this project and accomplish something a little more "ambitious". I wanted to at least do one project revolving around a samurai character but I don't have the money to afford a helmet replica let alone a suit, so I decided to model the helmet in Maya and face track it onto my face the Geotracker Plugin through Nuke. The building and the fortress wall were also modeled in Maya.

Overall I am happy with outcome of this project, even though I would like to add so many extra elements to make it even better. For example I feel like perspective of the helmet on the second shot is of, the fortress wall is too linear and perfect, I would've like to add dents and wear to it to give it the grungy look, as if it's been up for a while. Another thing I would like to add is projectiles such as fire balls in the sky, as if they have been launched from a catapult. Also the fire elements in the second shot need more colour grading to fit in more believably I feel.
